Prime solutions to Diophantine equations
Abstract: It is natural to
ask whether Diophantine equations are solvable in primes, and a famous
example of this kind is the twin prime conjecture. In the philosophy of
Bourgain-Gamburd-Sarnak, this
kind of problem can be translated into the distribution of primes on
orbits of group actions. In this talk I will explain this connection,
as well as what are known in the quadratic case and higher degree cases.
