The School of Mathematical Sciences has excellent programs for Ph D students in Mathematics, Statistcs and Operations Research.
The focus of the Ph D programs is to carry out independent reserach under the guidance of one of the School's faculty members. In addition, students are required to take a modest number of advanced courses.
Students interested in a Ph D program should begin by seeking a supervisor for their dissertation research. The full study program will be set by the supervisor so as to best prepare the student to engage in advanced research.
