Zemer Kosloff (TAU)
will speak on
A type III1 Bernoulli shift.
Abstract:
Let T be an invertible non-singular transformation of a probability
space (X,B,P).
In the case that T has no invariant
-finite measure equivalent to P then T is said to be
of type III.
The ratio set of a transformation is a tool introduced by Krieger
in the study of orbit equivalence of transformations.
If the ratio
set is then the transformation is said to be of type III1.
In this lecture we will show a construction of a product measure on
{0,1}Z under which the full shift is of type III1.
