Jon Aaronson (TAU)
will speak on
Restricted exchangeability on multidimensional
subshifts.
Abstract:
Work in progress, joint
with Hitoshi Nakada.
Let S be a finite set and let N be a countable set and
let X be a subset X of S^N. One measure of "symmetry" of a probability on X is
"exchangeability" (two points in X are related exchangeably if the coordinates of one are a finite permutation of
the coordinates of the other). Other measures of symmetry are "Gibbs" properties.
We compare these measures of symmetry,
giving conditions for their coincidence when X is a certain kind of multidimensional, topological Markov chain.
