Locating Areas of Interest

We detect areas of interest in real-life scenes using the D-Phase operator. D-Phase is a novel operator for the detection of smooth three dimensional convex and concave regions in images.

The following animation shows the detection of the Dome of the Rock which is the main subject of the image of the old city of Jerusalem. The steps shown in the movie are described below:
