Editor's PrefaceMy dear friends!
Saying farewell "Shalom" on the last page of the first edition of Kerosene Yellow Pages (YP-1) that had become a bibliographic rarity long ago, I promised you to meet again... And ... here it is, Ladies and Gentlemen! Three years later we are meeting again on the pages of YP-2 - the second edition of Kerosene Yellow Pages! During these years the editors received a lot of exciting letters, phone calls, e-mails, oral appeals from Kerosinshiks from all over the world. People asked, demanded, implored to publish the second, more complete and updated to the last geographical, social, professional and other changes edition of Kerosene Yellow Pages. The unforgetable Kerosene spirit is still alive and what is more important - people still need it, they want it, they crave for it! While working on YP-2 the Editors faced serious problems. One of the main difficulties was to collect information from our Russian layer. The Kerosene stream from East to West (including Middle East and now also Australia) continues its streaming flow and suddenly (?) we have found ourselves without editing staff in Russia. Our ex-Moscow YP-Editor Vasya Novozhilov (PM-81) like a real captain remained in storming Russia till the very last moment but even he had to leave Moscow and now he actively participates in YP-2 from our new YP-Editorial Office in Sydney, Australia, uniting our young but intensively growing Kerosene community there. The smoulder torch of Russian Kerosene movement was caught up by Arcady Volozh (PM-81) who managed to find channels for passing some invaluable information about our extremely well-conspirated Moscow Kerosene Group acting in the the deep underground of today's Moscow. I would like to mention specially our new US-Editor Yuri Salkinder (PM-81). Without his enthusiasm, energy and unshakable belief in righteousness of the Kerosene cause YP-2 would be absolutely incomplete without our Yankee Oilers on its pages. We have changed the format of Yellow Pages making "Who is Who" the central column of the issue and trying to include there as much names as possible. Believe me, the Editors did really a great job looking for each, even the slightest signs of Kerosene on the huge territories of USA, Canada, Israel, Europe, Australia, Russia ... I am finishing this short editor's preface and, my dear friends, let me introduce you YP-2 - the second edition of Kerosene Yellow Pages! Felix Abramovich (PM-81), Editor of "Kerosene Yellow Pages". |
