This workshop is devoted to foundational questions on the design and analysis of Internet-based auctions, markets, and other economic institutions. This analysis may combine tools and notions from game-theory, economic-theory, and computer science, as well as possibly other scientific disciplines. One notable application of such Internet auctions is Internet advertising which is experiencing a growing sophistication in the types of information, transaction, and pricing models used. This application as well as other applications of electronic markets and auctions would benefit from interactions of researchers from various disciplines as well as between academia and industry.

This workshop is part of the activities of the Google Research Initiative on Electronic Auctions and Markets Google logo
