Abstract:
Recently (2004) Harbater and Stevenson showed that the absolute 
Galois group of a field of Laurent series in two variables is `quasifree'.
We will discuss the notion of quasifree groups.
Also we will address the question
``When is a closed subgroup of a quasifree profinite group quasifree?'' 
and will describe its relation with the same question for free profinite 
groups.
