Elementary Definability in Function Fields

Abstract:
Following a paper of Jochen Koenigsmann, we ask for subsets of function
fields that are definable by means of first-order logic. More precisely
we investigate the definability of the field of constants (looking at
both old and recent results) and the existence of definable
transcendental elements.
