Title: Algebraic properties of Wiener algebras

Abstract:
I will discuss algebraic properties of completions of
(Laurent) polynomial rings in general and the Wiener algebra in
particular. These properties concern the Zariski spectrum, matrix
factorization results and forms of Weierstrass preparation for the
algebraic parts of these rings.
