Geometry and arithmetic of rational functions
Abstract: I will
present several recent results about rational functions. In
particular, I will discuss arithmetic results about the function
induced by a rational function over a number field; dynamical results
about orbits of complex rational functions; and topological results on
Hurwitz's problem on the existence of branched coverings of surfaces.

Coffee will be served at 12:00 before the lecture
at Schreiber building 006
