Relevant application domains include data mining, data warehousing, information retrieval, decision support systems, medical image databases, query processing, and effective Web utilization.

The projects involve variety of issues:

Individuals can select projects and emphasis aspects of projects suitable to their skills and interests (pending approval). All topics are of practical interest and involve state-of-the-art techniques and tools.

Suggested projects are available online.

Method: The various projects will be done in groups of up to three students. The projects are aimed for an integrated working system, but are designed to be done independently.
