This talk continues the introductory series started with
"Introduction to tropical geometry" on October 27, 2022.
Refined tropical enumerative invariants (i.e., invariants depending on a parameter)
were introduced by
Block and Göttsche
as one-parameter deformations of complex tropical enumerative
invariants. Block and Göttsche observed that the refined invariants interpolate
between the complex and real enumerative invariants. We discuss this phenomenon as
well as other algebraic-geometric interpretations of Block-Göttsche invariants and
some other refined tropical enumerative invariants.
