Algorithmic recognition of quasipositive braids of algebraic length two
A braid is called quasipositive if it is a product of standard generators
of the braid group. We give an algorithm which decide if a given
braid is a product of two conjugates of standard generators.
The algorithm is based on the Garside theory which was developped for a
of the conjugacy problem in the braid groups. We also give in the talk
a short introduction to this theory.
