| The corrected distance
|
After six steps of the computation we get, at last, the final
result. It is a single line of the following very, very simple
form:
[ 2 / 125 ]
It means the following: the measure of proximity was computed
for all the 125 possible combinations of perturbation
parameters, and the "central" measure of proximity (that for
perturbation parameters (0,0,0), which means exact equidistance)
appears to be the second among others. That is, only one of the
124 other numbers exceeds the "central" number.
The above result, 2/125, corresponds to two words "WHYQDC"
(Zedekia) and "HYNTM" (Matanya) with related meaning. The small
value of the quotient (so-called corrected distance) indicates
unusual proximity of the words in the Book. For another word
pair, "T$NBNB" (Benbenest) and "CYWWRWH" (Horowitz) the
corrected distance is 68/125.
