Hotels
For registered participants, hotel reservations are taken care of by Meira Hillel meira@post.tau.ac.il
In Tel Aviv, there are three main hotels for conference participant, listed below. From these hotels there will be transportation to and from the university each day, to the dead-sea on Friday, and from the dead-sea on Sunday.
1. Hotel Maxim email: maxim@maxim-htl-ta.co.il
2. Hotel Grand Beach email: reservations@grandbeach.co.il
3. Hotel Alexander email: hotel@alexander.co.il
4. Lusky suites email: info@luskysuites-htl.co.il
You can make your own reservations, but the special price for conference participants is arranged via Meira. Information about the hotel's facilities are in their respecitve websites.
Getting around Tel Aviv
From the hotel to the university: There will be a daily shuttle bus from the hotel area
to the university and back. The shuttle bus will pick you up from Maxim and Grand Beach hotels.
See the program for a timetable. Participants who stay at the Alexander hotel are advised
to walk to Grand Beach hotel (2 minutes walk), and to take the shuttle bus from there.
Other than that, buses from the city that
go to the University include 7, 25, 27, 45, 74, 86.
Unfortunately, these buses do not reach the hotel area, but some are within 10 minutes walk
distance from the hotels.
Public transportation: You can check routes and timetables in the Dan (the local bus company) website (unfortunately, only some of it is in English): http://www.dan.co.il/english, and in the Egged (another bus company) website: http://www.egged.co.il/Eng/.
General advise:
- When taking a taxi, ask the driver to use the meter ("MO-NE") : it is usually cheaper and he is obligated by law to do so. It is not customary to tip the driver (though it will certainly be appreciated).
- There is no local (that is, inside Tel Aviv) public transportation at night (midnight to 6am, taxis excluded).
- Single bus tickets are valid "per ride". Thus, if you need to switch buses, you need to buy another ticket (there are some other options). Tickets are bought from the driver when boarding the bus (drivers have change so don't worry if you don't have the exact sum).

Internet access during the conference
Using your laptop: There is a wireless network in Schreiber building, which should be accessible to anyone with a laptop. Rooms 209, 210 and 310 in Schreiber building are reserved for particpants of the conference, for using one's personal laptop and for rest (we also do not forbid mathematical discussions in these three rooms). Directions for connecting to the network, including username and password, will be posted in rooms 209, 210 and 310.
Using a terminal: There are also twenty or so computers in room 004 in the ground floor of Schreiber building that are available for use by participants of the conference. There will be signs indicating the location of the computers, as well as directions for their use (i.e., username and password).
I still cannot connect to the internet. What can I do? Our system administrators, Sima and Michael, can be found at Schreiber 018 (the entrance floor) and are very helpful. You can either knock on their door, call them at 03-6407440, or e-mail Ms. Sima Kunyavski at seema@post.tau.ac.il.
Reimbursement of flights
For those participants that will have their flights reimbursed, the exact documents which you have to supply depend on the exact sub-budget from which the reimbursement will take place. However, the following list is general enough to include all needed documents for all possible sub-budgets. Those reimbursed by Clay institute will be contacted directly. Please supply the documents to Meira Hillel during the first days of the conference.
1. Copy of passport
2. Boarding pass
3. Copy of the flight ticket
4. Copy of the receipt for the ticket
5. Full bank details and routing number. If not available - please supply Meira with an address for a check to be sent to, and preferred currency.
