Pattern Detection and Recognition
in Protein Structures
Haim Wolfson
Department of Computer Science, Tel Aviv University
Abstract:
We shall discuss various algorithms for the detection and recognition
of three dimensional patterns in protein structures.
In particular,
algorithms for protein structural alignment, multiple protein structural
alignment and flexible (articulated) structural comparison will be
presented.
The work is joint with Ruth Nussinov from the Medical Faculty and with
the students of the "Structural Bioinformatics" Laboratory of
the
Computer Science department.
