The seminar is for Master Students. Topics will include
theoretical, algorithmic and applied papers and will be adapted to the interest and background of the audience.
Intended Audience and Prerequisites
This seminar will provide an opportunity to strengthen and extend knowledge in various aspects of OR. This semester the focus
will be on continuous optimization: theory, algorithms and application and engineering sciences.
It is particularly suitable for mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering students.
Students with no previous knowledge or exposure in any optimization courses should contact me to see if they can register to the seminar.
Course requirements and Grading
Each student will be assigned adequate material, including a research paper
and will be required to prepare a lecture based on the material asssigned.
The grade will be based on the presentation and the discussion that follows it.
